James Boyd Ashford Jr.

James Ashford Jr. was born August 1, 1963, in Houston Texas at Jefferson Davis Hospital to parents Rosie Lee and James Ashford Sr. He was the first-born child of four and the first to be called home to eternal rest. He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at New Hope Baptist Church.

He attended public school and graduated from Kashmere High School in 1981. After graduating he began studying at Prairie View A&M University. He later earned his Bachelor of Science degree in business management and continued on to work for MCFA, Telvent, and Schneider. He finished his career as a director of procurement for North America and Mexico and often traveled abroad.

James was preceded in death by his father James Ashford, Sr. He leaves to cherish his memory his three beloved children Kristopher, Bridgette (Olukayode), and Alexandra Ashford; three grandchildren Abigail, Adah, and Adam; His loving mother Rosie Lee Denson, father Jethan Denson; Two sisters Valencia Lewis and Cheryl Daniels (Keith); One brother Warren Ashford Sr. (Christy); Godsisters Shalondra Fearence and Ebony McCarter, along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

A visitation for James will be held Thursday, February 3, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Paradise Funeral Home, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088. A funeral service will occur Friday, February 4, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Paradise Funeral Home.
