James E. Cabiness, born September 19, 1929 in Montebello, Alabama and passed away January 15, 2014 in Houston Texas. He is preceded in death by his wife Bonnie Cabiness. James will be missed by his son, Michael Cabiness and wife Mary; granddaughters, Stephanie Ortiz and husband Dante, and Valerie Cabiness; great-grandchildren, Megan Ortiz, Kiley Cabiness, Khloe Cabiness and Madelyn Ortiz; siblings Henry Cabiness, Lynn Townson, Lola-Mae Kish and several nieces and nephews.
James was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He served his country with the United States
Army and was involved in the Korean Conflict.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Sunday, January 19, 2014 at Brookside Funeral Home. Graveside Service will be conducted at 10:30 am Monday, January 20, 2014 at Brookside Memorial Park.
