Daddy you've been gone a year today but still live in our hearts. I think of you everyday and wished on those final days to tell you what was really on my mind and how much we truly love you. But some how I think you knew; as everytime you became ill, you always came to Houston to us so we could take care of you! We love you daddy and will continue to keep you in our hearts.

It's been almost a year since you've passed Daddy.  I miss your voice and they way we used to laugh together.  I miss hearing that country twang in your voice and somehow unknowingly switching my own to match and sounding just as country and LOUD.  You were one of those people that just made life more interesting.  I love you and know now that you are at peace.  Thank you for sending the message...I hope the fish was good.

It was good to see James and Mama(Susie)go at it. James said Mama(Susie) was just like(Aunt Rosie). They really acted like brothers and sisters. James would go fishing and mama would cook them. It was a site. They had so much fun Mama,Daddy and James.They really looked forward to him coming up, on the bayou. When he did not come they would go looking for him.(They had that kind of relationship.)

I never thought you would leave me behind.  Who will take me fishing?
Our fishing experiences were precious moments I will never forget.  Sometimes your driving was fearful especially when you appear to be on two wheels in that old blue van going down steep slopes.  You thought it was funny when I was screaming at you.  It was worth the trip when I would find a good spot catching fish, like David use to do; you would nudge me over, tangling our lines by casting over my line until I would move.  I will always cherish those times thinking of your patience with me and the time we shared.

norris i will never forget the times we shared together,you had a wonderful sense of humor,you always made me laugh.you will always be apart of my heart.to family and friends be strong.

My fondest memory was when Uncle James came back from Germany. That was when I really got to know him. We went fishing together all Summer that first year. You will be missed Uncle.

Thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Being in a business that deals with death on a daily basis doesn’t make it less painful when someone close to us passes.

Hold on to those pleasant memories of your father and celebrate the special times you had together.  Advice he gave, a huge, pictures, cards and letters, meals, trips; the list goes on and on.  Remember the way he made you laugh and smile even when you didn’t feel like it.  During those times you were mad at each other, you didn’t love each other any less.

My father passed away when I was 16.  The days and years without him got easier, but I still miss him.  I wish I could say I don’t still have moments of sadness.  But celebrating his life helps me get through them.  Celebrate the years that God has given the two of you together.

When you need to cry, cry; when you need scream, scream; and when you need talk, talk!  You have the love and support of your SCI posse (Maria, Steve, Julian, Ronda, Laurie, and me).

Please know that these are not empty words; my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
