After high school James served in the US Navy from 1966 to 1970. During the Vietnam War, he served on the USS Linda McCormick. He was Honorably Discharged with the rank of Petty Officer 2nd Class. After his service he worked for Thermon Heat Tracing Services. James had a passion for salt water fishing and horses. He was a member of the Houston Live Stock Show and Rodeo.
James is survived by son Michael P. Waller; and son Brian C. Waller; granddaughter Katelyn Waller.
James was preceded in death by his wife Maureen Waller; father Pat Waller; step father William H. McLeod and mother Ruby Waller / McLeod.
An inurnment for James will be held Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at 10:00 a.m.
