While outwardly quiet, Jane was a strong woman who exuded kindness and found great joy in making the people around her happy. She maintained a positive attitude through any challenges placed before her, creating an aura of contentment that put everyone else at ease.
Jane enjoyed life on every level with her husband, best friend, and soul mate, Wes Ballou. Their love for each other found that perfect spot where it was evident to all without being over the top. The twinkle in Jane’s eye let you know she was more in love with her husband each passing day than she was the day before.
Jane was a gifted teacher and spent most of her career at Grace Presbyterian from 1986-2002. She was known for creating an exciting classroom and unique learning experiences for her students. She took special pride in serving as a role model for the young people she cherished so dearly.
Jane was born on September 18, 1948, in Houston Texas. She carried on a family tradition and was a member and of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority.
In addition to her husband, Wes, she is survived by her beloved children Sara Jane (Ballou) Guillory, and Brian Wesley Ballou.
Jane provided a glowing example of how to live life through a commitment to professional and personal excellence. She touched the world in a positive light in many ways, leaving a legacy of joy, class, and love.
Jane’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all friends whom have offered their support and love throughout the years. In lieu of flowers and to honor Jane’s passion for her dogs, Bailey and Lulu, please make donations to the Alzheimer’s Association, Golden Beginnings Golden Retriever Rescue, or your favorite charity.
