Jane Scott Darcy

went to meet the Lord on April 20, 2012. Jane was born June 28, 1928, in Duncan, Oklahoma, to William Blake and Elizabeth Scott. She graduated from San Jacinto High School, Houston, and The University of Texas, Austin. Jane married her college sweetheart, Harris “Koop” Darcy, and they enjoyed many happy years together. Jane was an exquisite entertainer, gourmet cook, loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother, and loyal friend. She cherished her friends in the Encouragers Bible Study Class at Second Baptist Church. Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Harris P. (Koop) Darcy; her daughter, Diane Darcy Ballenger; and her daughter, Rebecca Suzanne (Becky) Darcy. She is survived by her son, Scott Darcy and his wife, Pat, of Kerrville; and her grandson, Chris Darcy of Kerrville. She is also survived by her brother, W. Blair Scott, of Dallas. A Memorial Service for Jane will be held Monday, April 23, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas, 77079, with Charles Gamble officiating. Preceding the Memorial Service will be a private interment for the family. For those desiring, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
