

Janice "Jan" Marie Hale, was born on August 16, 1937 and after a long battle with stroke complications passed away on April 7, 2012. She was a successful business woman, running a plastic engraving business for over 40 years. Jan and her late husband Jim enjoyed Square Dancing for many years and were members of the Houston Square Dance Council. She was very active in all aspects of her life. She enthusiastically attended the activities of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren who affectionately call her GiGi. Jan is preceded in death by her dad and mom, Herman and Mildred Bruegging, her husband of 50 years James "Jim" Hale and her sister Yvonne. She is survived by her children, James Hale, Shelia Smet and Kenneth Hale, along with 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and her sisters Sue Berry and Cathy Wolske.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 11, 2012, from 6:00 pm till 9:00 pm in the Stateroom of Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 770024. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2012, at 11:00 am at the Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas.
