Janie J. Garcia

Janie J. Garcia, age 86, of Houston, Texas, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025. She was born on October 4, 1938, in Alba, Texas, to Isaac Jimenez and Amalia Cortez. On December 20, 1963, she married to Henry V. Garcia.

Janie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. Her legacy of love, kindness, and strength will forever live on in the hearts of her children: Laura Garcia-Lozano, Isaac Garcia, and Joseph Garcia, as well as her cherished grandchildren: Isaiah Lozano, Ciara Lozano, Kandice Lozano, Alexandra Lozano, Ashley Azahar, Isaac Garcia, Isabella Lake, Ava Garcia, Vanessa Garcia, Dylan Garcia, and Michael Garcia. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren: Giovanni and Amir Azahar, Nebula and Xavier Herrera, Kataleya Lozano, and Himawari Lake. Janie was also blessed with siblings: Isaac Jimenez Jr., Alexander Jimenez, Vincent Jimenez, and Rachel Sotelo.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks for the love, support, and prayers they have received during this difficult time. Janie will be deeply missed by all who knew her, and her memory will continue to inspire and comfort her family and friends.

A visitation for Janie will be held Monday, February 3, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo, 2516 NAVIGATION BLVD, HOUSTON, TX 77003. A rosary service will occur Monday, February 3, 2025 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM, 2516 NAVIGATION BLVD, HOUSTON, TX 77003. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, February 4, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023.
