

Melba Jean McGehee, 88, passed away into the arms of her Lord and Savior, on Sunday, September 30, 2012. She was born on May 15, 1924 to Willie and Lawson Foster, in Red Oak, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph McGehee, brothers L.E., Joe, Jack, Kenneth and Donald Foster.
She is survived by her daughters: Cynthia Sauls and husband Hank, Melinda Moxley and husband David; four grandchildren: Camille Sauls, Melissa Sauls, Renee Bayer and husband Scott, Matthew Moxley and one great granddaughter Belle Marie Martinez.
After high school, Jean attended Nixon Business College and began working for Wilson Oil Field Supply Company, where she met the love of her life, Joe. They married on September 25, 1948. Jean kept an immaculate home as she reared her children and she volunteered countless hours at Methodist Hospital, and at her church, Bethany Christian. She was a courageous, strong, loving person....we will miss her so....
A memorial service celebrating Jean's life will be on Wednesday, October 3, 2012, at 12:30 P.M. in the Chapel of Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Freeway.
