Jeane was born December 28, 1950 in Houston, Texas to William and Katherine Cazort. She had a twin brother and was the baby of seven children. She spent 5 years of her childhood in Puerto Rico and was fluent in Spanish. She began work at the age of 14 at a hamburger restaurant and continued to work hard until retirement. Jeane married her high school sweetheart, Kerry, just before her graduation and they spent their early married years in Germany where he served in the US Army. Life in Germany provided years and years of hilarious stories they’ve told to all their grandchildren. Upon returning home to America they settled down in Houston and began their family. They have two children, Kerry Jr. and Tammy, and nine grandchildren.
At age 60, Jeane retired from Seneca Resources, after 28 years, and began pouring her extra time into becoming an even more amazing Mimi (if that was even possible), loving on and being available for others, gardening and pursuing her love of quilting. She launched a quilting ministry at Living Water Church of Spring, Texas, where she was a founding member since 2010. She also began a small business quilting quilts for others on her long arm and hosting quilting retreats at The Ranch. Jeane was a member of The Woodlands Quilting Guild and several local quilting bees.
Jeane was one of the sweetest people many of us will ever know. Her generous spirit was felt immediately by anyone who came into her presence. She was extremely kind and loved others abundantly. Jeane never met a stranger, her warm and engaging essence left others feeling known and valued. What an honor it was to have known her.
Most importantly, Jeane was a Christian. She put her faith in Christ ALONE at a young age and her security in Him was evident by the way she loved God and others unconditionally. As her battle with brain cancer came to an end, she proclaimed…“I know, that I know, that I know God” and was confident even at the very end that He was working on her “mansion in the sky”.
Jeane is preceded in death by her parents William and Katherine Cazort; sister Barbara Felts; and brother Larry Powers.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Kerry L. Isaac Sr.; her son Kerry Isaac Jr. & his wife Jenifer, and their children Riley, Reid and Remington; her daughter Tammy Elliott & her husband Kip, and their children Jackson, Ethan and Emma, Lilian, Rhett, Maxwell and Heron. Other survivors include her sister Sylvia Pulido, her brother Corky Cazort, her sister Roberta Duncan and brother-in-law Phil, and twin brother Johnny Cazort and sister-in-law Teresa; and many nieces and nephews and cousins.
The family expresses sincere gratitude and appreciation to her many friends for their love and support. Also, to Dr. Rebecca Harrison and her team at MD Anderson Brain and Spine Center…you offered us the gift of time with Jeane and for that we are forever grateful.
