Mary Jeanne Noyes, a third generation Texan and native Houstonian, passed away peacefully December 11, 2010. She is preceded in death by her parents Edward I. and Emetta O’Brien Watson, husband George W. Noyes and daughter Kathy N. Welsh. Jeanne attended Houston schools and Rice Institute, and in 1942, she married George W. Noyes, and throughout her life was involved in numerous civic and social activities with her primary focus in life being the support of and involvement with her family. She was a patron of the Houston Junior Forum and Ladies Reading Club, and also a founding member of St. Martin’s Episcopal Church since 1954. She enjoyed life, frequently traveling with family and friends. Jeanne is survived by her sons: Thomas, Daniel; daughter: Cynthia; grandchildren: Maverick Welsh, Matthew Welsh, Patrick Noyes, Jennifer Noyes, and great-granddaughter Nadine Noyes. Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. with graveside services at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at Memorial Oaks. Jeanne’s Celebration of Life will follow at 1:00 p.m. at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church, 717 Sage Road Houston.
