Jerome “Buddy” Henry Lemmon, Sr. , left this world peacefully on the 6th of June 2016; and went home to be with his Lord. He was the owner of J.J. Lemmon Co., Houston, Texas, which was founded by his late father J. J. Lemmon in 1921. He served his country during World War II on a Navy destroyer, and was a member of the Masonic Lodge.
Surviving family members are his loving, devoted wife, Zora Lemmon, his son Jerome Henry Lemmon Jr., two grandchildren, Lana Redmond of Wharton, Buddy Lemmon III, and Marcia Walden , step-daughter of The Woodlands, Texas.
The family gratefully acknowledges the tender, loving care given to Mr. Lemmon by his caretaker, Clinton Eppinette. Mr. Eppinette and his wife, Jill, allowed Mr. Lemmon’s wishes to pass in his home in the company of his wife, Zora, to be fulfilled. They shared a beautiful marriage together, and it was appropriate that they should be together in this manner.
Naval military honors will be rendered at half-past one o’clock in the afternoon on Tuesday, the 14th of June 2016, at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive in Houston.
In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial contributions may be directed to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, 406 West 34th Street, Kansas City, MO 64111 or online at www.vfw.org/Contribute/.
