

Jerry was born in Beaumont Texas on May 15, 1960, and has lived in the Houston area his entire life, with his current residence in Columbus, Texas. On April 14, 2007 he married Mylena Alred. He was living his dream on his ranch for the last 2 ½ years, starting a hobby raising Longhorns, trying to train his two lab puppies while always favoring Blanco his older lab and constant companion, feeding the deer and sitting on the front and back porches watching the grass grow.
He always had a passion for The Astros, fishing, boating, hunting, longhorns, golfing, story telling and making new friends. His favorite game in life was “one upping” any and everyone.
Jerry has been in the Mortgage Industry for over thirty years. In his earlier life, he had a Borden milk distributorship, was a professional bass fisherman, rode horses and bulls.
Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Carol Vance Alred Jr; his mother Kathleen Long Alred
He was survived by his wife, Mylena Alred; brother Gary Alred and wife Carol ; sister Lisa Stiefel and husband Reid Sr; daughter Mindi Alred, son Jay Alred, granddaughter Jayleigh Alred; grandsons Dylan and Vance Colston, and Jaxen and Ralph Alred; stepmother Dee Alred; nieces Loren Hopf, Stephanie Hoskins, Kendall Craven, Nikki Vega; nephews Reid Stiefel Jr, Trey Alred, Brandon Alred, Cheyenne Alred; many great-nieces/nephews.
Jerry was a servant of God, loved his wife, family and friends, and was loved by everyone.
