Jerry studied at Baylor University for 2 years. He was a business owner and on his free time he enjoyed going to casino trips, billiards, and watching NFL games.
He is preceded in death by the love of his life Marie Lentz; sister Sheila Lentz; brothers Buddy and Keith Lentz, step daughters Kelly Joseph and Rhonda Been.
He is survived by his son, Greg Lentz and wife Sharon Lentz; stepson Ralph Wheeler; grandchildren, Brittany Newton, Jeremy Hoffart, Jessica Wheeler Johnson, Nassim Joseph, Jordana Bistany; great grandchildren, Cooper, Beau, Allie-Ann Vivian, Harrison, Noah and Rome; sister, Phyllis Brown; brother, Jay Lentz.
Serving as pallbearers are Logan Newton, Greg Lentz, Jay Lentz, DelRay Lentz, Nassim Joseph and Wayne Lentz.
A visitation for Jerry will be held Saturday, January 14, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home. A funeral service will occur Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 2:00 PM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.
