Ruby Jo Cross, born July 19, 1920 in Wizard Wells, Texas, passed away December 4, 2014, in Houston, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Hattie Laird; brothers, J.T. and Jack Laird; and sisters, Nealie Laird and Necie Franks. Jo is survived by her daughter, Wanda Odom; grandsons, Chris Odom, Charles Odom Jr. and wife Amy; niece, Ann Crossweigth and husband James.
Jo lived in Houston for 41 years. A loyal mother and Christian, she loved her family and church dearly. Her smile and friendship will be missed.
A Memorial Service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 9, 2014, at West University Baptist Church, 6218 Auden, Houston, TX 77005.
