Joan Ann Manzano

Joan Ann Manzano was born April 3rd, 1952, in New York City, New York, along with her twin sister, Sally Ann. Joan and Sally left New York in August 1992 and came to live in Houston, Texas to join their older sister, Rosalie. Joan lived with Sally for 19 years at the same apartment complex by NRG Stadium. For the last 12 years, Joan was living at the Wharton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center where Rosalie and Sally religiously came to visit her every other Monday. They had lunch at her favorite restaurants and where she browsed and shopped at her favorite stores, Dollar General and Wal-Mart.

Joan passed away on Monday June 9th, 2025, in Wharton, Texas. She has been an inspiration to all of the people around her and she will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.

She is survived by her sisters, Rosalie Voigt and Sally Manzano; her niece Linda Rose Svay and her nephew David Schlossberg.

She will now be resting in peace with her deceased parents, Segundo and Gloria Manzano.

A visitation for Joan will be held Monday, June 16, 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services, 7010 Chetwood, Houston, TX 77081. A funeral service will occur Monday, June 16, 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM, 7010 Chetwood, Houston, TX 77081. A graveside will occur Monday, June 16, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale St, Houston, TX 77023.
