Everyday she would wake up, make her bed, put her makeup on, pick out the nicest out she could find, put all her jewerly on, and fix her hair. It was a daily routine, like clock work.  She also loved visiting with her sisters and cousins, and reminiscing about the good old days.  The most memorable memories we all share, are the ones we made on Pasta Sundays.  She and John continued the tradition of cooking pasta and meatballs after her mother was no longer able to cook.  There would be up to 20 of us, that would gather at their home every sunday.  
She was a remarkable lady that will be missed dearly by everyone that she came in contact with.
We thank God every day for how he made her, absolutely perfect.  How not only could you see her beauty and goodness, you could feel it coming from her heart.  And we are thankful for the love that she had for us, and the love she had for her husband of 64 years.
Thank you my wife JoAnn, my Mama, my Nana, my Mother-in-law for everything.  Please know you are always in our hearts and we know we will see you again one day.

Our family is so blessed to have been able to call this beautiful woman many different names: my wife, my mama, my nana, and my mother-in-law.
Our lives will never be the same without her in it.  She was the rock and foundation of our family. She was the sunshine of our lives.  We find peace and comfort knowing that she is in the hands of our Lord, and rejoicing with her loved ones.  We will always cherish the good times, laughter, and love that she shared with us.
 
Whether it was a smile we could hear through the phone, or the beautiful smile she showed when we were together, we could always feel the love she had for us.
 
There are so many joyous moments and stories that we will carry with us for the rest of our lives. I could go on all day, but here are just a few. She use to have so much fun at the parties in garage at the house on Hill rd. She loved to dance, especially to her favorite song, silver wings.  When John was out hunting, a new piece a furniture would always find it’s way into the house.  We remember the day she threatened our lives after we busted a water balloon full of colored water on her freshly painted living room walls.  Let’s just say it was not a good day for anybody.  Once we moved out, she would constantly send us home with paper goods, groceries, and leftovers. Most of all, she always dreamt of having grandkids.  Well, her wish came true. She got 4 in a row.  She always treated us equally, but we knew the grandkids were her favorite. She made it pretty known, she didn’t hide it. Especially, when we would say no to our kids, they knew the only thing they had to do is call Nana, and they got what they wanted, everytime.  She had so much fun spoiling them with far too many presents for their birthdays, Christmas, and pretty much any holiday on the calendar.
Besides the love she had for her family, she loved shopping, seafood, flowers,  working in her flower beds, and most of all she loved getting all dressed up. Everyday she would wake up,

Today is going to be a hard day for Family  and friends.  We will be honoring Joann for the great person she always was. I keep remembering all the times she was there to help, babysit and visit. It is going to be hard to let her go. She is in God's hands now.

I am so sorry for your loss. Aunt JoAnn (what I always called her) was a special lady. Some of my earliest and best memories were the great parties at y’all’s house when we were kids. I was an extremely finicky eater as a kid and I can remember her making sure I always got something to eat even if she had to go into the house kitchen to get it.  When we had our kids, uncle John would drop her off at our house when he went to rodeo and she would play with our kids.  She was a special woman who touched a whole lot of people’s hearts.  Our prayers are with all of y’all.

JoAnn was a Beautiful, Sweet, Kind and Loving person. Everybody loved JoAnn. She was right there when you needed her. You didn't have to be Family for her to care about you. She helped friends, neighbors any way she could. When her and John had parties in their huge garage everyone was invited and everyone had a great time. For years they had Halloween parties, New Years Eve parties, Birthday 
parties, Baby Showers, wedding showers, you name it they had a party for it. If you needed her to listen to your problems, she did. If you needed a shoulder to cry on, it was hers. A lot of us will have an empty space in our hearts. I know God will put us back together some day. I love and Miss you JoAnn.

JoAnn was someone I looked up to my whole life.  She was the person I wanted to be when I grew up. After she married John, they  both
did things with Lucille, her sister , and I. Then when I married Danny, 
he and John got along well, so we were together a lot raising our kids and having fun.  Us girls could always think of reason to get together and talk, shop and eat. My Heart breaks for John, Madonna, Mark, Corinna and their children. My Heart breaks too, I will miss her to the day I die.

JoAnn was a wonderful sister to me.  I could not have asked for better.   She and John were always at any of my family’s  functions and always so good to my children and grandchildren.  
JoAnn, one day I will meet you at Heaven’s gate.  Until that time, please take care of my son, Stephen, for me.
I love you and will miss you immensely !!
