John (Johnny) Marion Gennusa, Jr. was born on December 10, 1940 in Houston, Texas and passed away April 15, 2016 in Katy, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents Estelle Gennusa and John Gennusa, Sr.
He attended St. Joseph Catholic School grades one to eight and graduated from Marion High School. John was in the furniture business most of his life, working 20 years at Fingers Furniture and from 1980 to 1985 he owned Gennusa's Sandwich Shop on Milam.
John is survived by his wife Marian Gennusa and daughter Angela Gennusa of Colorado. He is also survived by his sister Connie Schmidt and her husband Paul, his niece Kim Marshall and her husband John, nephew Paul Schmidt Jr., and great nephew Chase Marshall.
A visitation will be on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 from 6-8pm with a rosary service at 7pm at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home Chapel with a Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 10:30 a.m at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 625 Nottingham Oaks Trail, Houston, Texas followed by interment at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
