John Howard Jones

Howard graduated from Brazosport High School in 1976 where he played saxophone with the school's band for 4 years. Music was something he enjoyed as he also played a bass guitar in bands with his cousins and friends.

Howard married Kathy Peters on June 7, 1980 and they were blessed to have 2 sons, Andrew and Nick.

Howard worked the last 18 years before he retired with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice where he was a prison guard and a supervisor.

Howard loved spending time and traveling with his wife, Kathy, family and especially his grandkids which he adored. He also had a love for Ford Mustangs, pickup trucks and motorcycles which he became a pretty good mechanic, always keeping them in great shape.

Howard will be greatly missed by his family and friends but knowing he is at peace with no pain or suffering gives us comfort.

Howard is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Dorothy Jones, and brother, David Jones. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Jones, his sweetheart of 39 years, his son, Andrew and wife McKinsey Jones, son, Nick Jones, 3 grandchildren, Oliver, Jack and Penelope Jones and numerous family and friends.
