Born August 29, 1938, J.D. was a life-long Houstonian and 50-year business owner (Cash Register House/Business Machines 2000). He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Christa Eichelmann McClung, his children Sinde McClung (Andrew Gambino), Renate McClung (Jeff) Wagner, and Tony (Lisa) McClung; his "honorary" son Darrell Herndon; sister Sally McClung Levin; grandchildren J. Pierson Wagner, Noemia McClung, Greta McClung; and numerous great nieces, nephews, great-great nieces, and nephews, extended family in Germany, and many loving friends.
J.D. graduated from Jeff Davis High School in 1957, and was an Eagle Scout, Army veteran, Rotary member, and softball coach. He will be remembered by many as a loving husband, father, Opa, and someone who loved to dance and make others laugh.
