He was born on the 24th of March 1942, to Robert and Catherine (Mauer) Simons in Elizabeth, New Jersey. On the 27th of June 1964, he married Pasty Hanlon Simons in Charleston, South Carolina.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, John and Callie (Beery) Simons IV; grandsons, Cooper, Shepherd, John Ware and Henry Simons; his son-in-law, Michael Ulland Todd; grandsons, Chandler and Cameron Todd; and his sister, Suzanne (Simons) Hammond.
Jack was born and raised in Cranford, New Jersey and graduated from Cranford High School and the Citadel in Charleston, SC. He had long and successful career working at Westinghouse Power Generation.
At a later date, a memorial service and interment will be held at the Memorial Bell Tower on the Citadel campus in Charleston, South Carolina.
