Jose Gilberto Rodriguez Sr.

Born on December 2nd, 1942. Jose has worked in the Steel Mills of Chicago at his

young adult life. He worked construction for Brown & Root KBR and Halliburton Construction. He worked as a foreman with these companies. He was loved by his staff. He was known as Papa Joe. If he was not at work, he was helping his church or Fellowship Church with remodels or repairs of their building. After he retired from construction he worked for Acura. When his wife became ill and needed care, he stopped working and became her caregiver, until she passed in 2021. His pride and joy were his kids, grandkids and great grandKids. We will all miss him dearly.

He is survived by his siblings Juanita Rodriguez, Cristina Saenz, Avelardo Rodriguez (Lalo), Alfonso Rodriguez, Metche Morales. His kids Elizabeth Ayala and husband Fernando J Ayala, Rigoberto Rodriguez, Jose Gilberto Rodriguez Jr. His grandkids Elizabeth Trevino and her husband Steven Trevino Sr, Roberto Paredes jr and spouse Kristy Montemayor, Desiree Alverez, Arianna Hernandez and husband Jose Hernandez, Aubree Rodriguez. His great grandkids Sebastian Comabella Paredes, Steven Trevino Jr., Mia Paredes,Remé Paredes, Emilia Hernandez, Matthew Trevino, Catalaya Paredes, Emilia Hernandez, Pia Alverez, Enizo Hernandez

Jose was predeceased by his parents Maragito & Dolores Rodriguez, wife Francis M. Rodriguez, siblings Victor Rodriguez, Yolanda Salazar, children Sergio Rodriguez and Sandra Rodriguez.

A visitation for Jose will be held Monday, October 20, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo, 4136 BROADWAY ST, HOUSTON, TX 77087. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, October 21, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 4136 BROADWAY ST, HOUSTON, TX 77087. A committal service will occur Tuesday, October 21, 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at Forest Park East Cemetery, 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598.
