A proud United States Army veteran, Joe served honorably from 1974-1977. After his time in the Army, Joe pursued his passion for automotive mechanics. Known for his unmatched skill with engines and his love of working with his hands, he could fix just about anything —and often did so for friends, neighbors, and anyone in need. Whether in a garage or under the hood of a classic street rod, Joe found joy in bringing machines back to life and took pride in his craft.
Joe will be remembered for his generous spirit and funny sense of humor. He loved telling stories and sharing his knowledge.
He was preceded in death by parents, Eleno C. Ruiz and Aurora G. Ruiz, his siblings Eleno G. Ruiz, Celso Ruiz, Oscar Ruiz and Maria Magdalena Rodriguez.
Joe is survived by his living siblings, family and friends.
