

Joseph “Romey” Briscoe was born on October 13, 1973, in Lafayette, Louisiana, to the proud parents Joseph Briscoe and Nella Henry Briscoe. He was the oldest of three children and was raised in Houston, Texas, where he built a life full of love, laughter, and faith.
A true hustler and visionary, Romey was a proud entrepreneur and the owner of Redi Fast Delivery Services and Briscoe Custom Builders. He took great pride in his work and found joy in serving others with excellence and dedication.
In 2007, Romey met the love of his life, Erica Wilson, and the two united in marriage on August 20, 2009. Together, they built a beautiful family and created countless memories filled with love, laughter, and adventure.
At 2:57 p.m. on Saturday, October 11, 2025, Romey peacefully transitioned from life to eternity after a courageous battle with sickle cell anemia. He was welcomed into eternal rest by his beloved brother Nicholas Briscoe, his maternal and paternal grandparents, and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins who preceded him in death.
Mourning his departure yet cherishing his precious memories are his devoted wife Erica Wilson Briscoe of Jackson, Mississippi; his loving daughters Nyah, Bryla, and Jaxsyn, all of Richmond, Texas; his parents Nell and Joseph Briscoe of Houston, Texas; and his sister Ashley Malek and her husband Blake, along with their children Madison, Matthew, and Peyton, also of Houston, Texas.
Romey will be remembered for his radiant smile, generous heart, and unwavering love for his family and friends. He touched many lives with his kindness, humor, and faith, leaving behind a legacy of strength, love, and perseverance.
He will be deeply missed, yet his spirit will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
A visitation for Romey will be held Monday, October 20, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Paradise Funeral Home, Inc, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088. A celebration of life will immediately follow from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The committal service will be held Monday, October 20, 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Paradise Cemetery North, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088.
