Joseph Amos Brown

Joe, being raised in the Great Depression, worked in many different jobs. He worked in the shipyards during the war, a lineman for the electrical utility, selling office machinery, job placement agency and an oil and gas company. He was a faithful member in his church, devoted to both his family and church family. He had a passion for golf, hunting and fishing, camping and travel.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, eight brothers and sisters, and his loving wife of 54 years, Joyce Gregory Brown. He is survived by his daughter, Jolene Brown Tittsworth and husband James, his two granddaughters Jennifer A. Banks and Julie G. Rutland and his six great grandchildren: Caleb, Madison, Jonah and Sydney Banks as well as Abigail and Ford Rutland.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 27, 2015 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm in The Stateroom at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77024. Graveside service will be Friday, August 28, 2015 at 11:00 am at Frank Branch Cemetery, Farm 92 & Fred, Fred, Texas 77616.
