

Mike grew up in Spring Branch, Houston,Texas and graduated from Northbrook High School, 1975. Mike was a varsity cheerleader, a regular dancer on Saturday morning tv, first with The Larry Kane Show and ending with The Don Stewart Show. Mike attended Texas A&M University 1975-1976 as a member of The Corp of Cadets, Company E 2, and as Fish Drill Sargent. Mike graduated from Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State) in 1980 with a degree in Business Administration. Mike was a member of the Lamda Chi Alpha fraternity, played intermural sports and was a Gaillardian (Cheerleader) 1979.
Mike followed in the Culver family business by opening his own laundry and dry-cleaning business in Humble, Texas and spent the following 30 years in the cleaning business. Mike’s final career was as a storm insurance adjuster working with his brother, nephew and cousins and ended with his prostate cancer diagnosis in 2020.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, William Frederick “Fred” Culver and Dorothea “Dot” Summerlin Culver Biggs, infant sister Connie Kay Culver, infant brother William Frederick Culver Jr., and is survived by his daughter, Rebecca “Becca” Lynn Culver, his sister Linda Culver, nieces Tyler Behrens (David, Mallory and Colt),and Taryn Ragsdale (Patrick, Kamryn, Reid and Luke), brother Craig Culver and nephew Craig Culver (Victoria, Cannon and Cohen), numerous cousins and an aunt, Clara Kaufmann.
The outpouring of genuine care for Mike has been immeasurable, humbling and appreciated. Friends and family that have remained near to him these last few years truly made him feel so blessed. Heartfelt gratitude for Janean Robertson Allen and husband Daniel, Johnny Roussell and the lunch group, Billy Reese, Carlos and Kathy Ripley, Liz Rosenblath Heiser, Chip Rayburn, Scott and Carol Culver, and most especially, adopted brother/best friend Steve Spence and family.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at 11:00 am in the Hunters Creek Chapel at Earthman Funeral Directors, located at 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas, 77024. Immediately after the service, all are invited to a light reception in the Event Room.
A private family only graveside service will take place after the reception.
