Joesph Leonard LeCour Jr., (aka Joe, Daddy, Dad, Pops & Papa) passed away at the age of 94 on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2014. He was born in El Paso, Texas on May 11, 1919 to Lydia Ophelia Merrill LeCour and Joseph Leonard LeCour Sr.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Katherine Still LeCour. His loving twin brothers, Doyle and Donald LeCour also greeted him in heaven.
Joe is survived by his 3 beloved children. Donald Lewis Stewart (Marilyn), Margaret Alice LeCour Baird (Brent) and John Richard LeCour.
Grandchildren – Kenneth Stewart, Robert Stewart, William Wolfe, Grant Wolfe, Joshua LeCour, Lianne Tucker, Denise Andrade and Alejandra Andrade.
Great Grand Children – Lena Stewart, Eden Stewart, Max Stewart and Great Great Grand Daughter, Emma Rose Parsinger.
He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, friends and many privileged strangers who had the honor of meeting him.
Joe served his country in the Army during World War II, in Guam and Okinawa.
The world will never be the same without him in it, but we all know that he is singing “The Lord’s Prayer” and dancing the Polka in paradise.
