

Joe served his country as a fireman in the Navy, and enjoyed a lifetime career as a Real Estate Broker in the Houston area. He is predeceased by his wife, Marie, and his brother, Vincent, of Belton, Texas. He is survived by his sister, Elaine Russo and her husband, Anthony of Tampa, Florida, his brother, Richard, of Long Island, NY, and three children, Lynn Sottosanti of Spring, Texas, Gail Funkhouser and her husband, Wade, of Austin, Texas and Lori Maugans and her husband, Will, of Humble, Texas.
Joe, aka Pop-Pop, is also survived by seven grandchildren, Jeremy, Christopher, Savannah, Wesley, Andrew, Ryan and Adam and six great-grandchildren, Johnathon, Brittany, Justin, Sadie, Brice and Delaney.
Joe spent the last few years at his home in Tomball, surrounded by many good friends, who filled his days with laughter and companionship. He retained his sense of humor to the end.
Visitation will be at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, TX 77038, on Thursday, November 6th, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, Texas 77038, on Friday, November 7th, at 11:00 am. The family invites you to join them for a reception at HomeTowne Tomball, 2627 South Cherry Street, Tomball, Texas 77375, immediately following the service.
