Josephine King was born on June 29, 1942, and was a resident of Crosby, Texas.

Josephine King was born in Homer, Louisiana on June 29, 1942, to loving parents Wessie Battle and Cleo Eddens.

Josephine was intelligent and such a good student that she was skipped two grades. She graduated from Pineview High School in Lisbon, Louisiana where she was a straight A student.

With faith always first in her life Josephine dedicated her life to Jehovah God and was baptized in 1987.

Sunday March 1, 2026, Josephine departed this life. She was preceded in death by her parents Wessie Battle and Cleo Eddens, her brothers Mike Battle and Theo Eddens, sister Mabel Johnson, son Kenneth Eddens, and grandson Johnathan Eddens.

Josephine leaves to cherish her memories, three children Althea Weston (Rodney), Kevin King, and Sherri Price(Charles); brother Donnie Battle (Murry), sister Maretha Eddens; grandchildren Shunt Erica, Reshara, Kevin (Brittney), Trevor (Shelby), Quaneecia, Chianti, Alexandria, Mark and Cambria; great grandchildren Kai, Trace, Hendrix, Corbin, Aria; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and spiritual brothers and sisters.
