Josephine Zarzana, 101 yrs., passed away on January 27, 2021. She was married to her husband, Joe for 48 yrs. Josephine enjoyed cooking and raising vegetables and flowers in her garden. Her joy in life was caring for her seven grandchildren. Josephine was fortunate to celebrate her 100th birthday on 2019 with family and friends.
Josephine was preceded in death by her husband, Joe; brothers, Ralph, Frank, Angelo, Sam, Vincent and Joseph; sisters, Camille, Nancy and sister-in-law Geraldine. She is survived by: Vita Provenzano, daughter and husband Louis, Albert Zarzana, son and wife Susan, Josie Defrancis, daughter and husband Michael; grandchildren, Vita Elizabeth Provenzano, Laura Lomax and husband Devin, Michael Prove+nzano, Christina Herwald and husband Aaron, Joseph Zarzana, Nicholas Zarzana, Daniel Zarzana; great grandchildren, Jace Lomax, Lea Lomax and Charlotte Herwald.
A private visitation will be held for the family at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 to be immediately followed by a Requiem Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Justin Martyr Catholic Church. A private interment will be held at Forest Park Lawndale in the Catacombs at 1:00 p.m.
During this age of pandemic and uncertainty, the family would prefer family and friends not attend the private services but rather remember Josephine with your prayers in the privacy of your home or place of worship.
