Joy Elizabeth Wedgeworth

Born in 1934 in Mobile, Alabama, Joy received her LVN in nursing in 1972 while living in Biloxi, Mississippi. Joy worked over 20 yrs. as a nurse in Houston, Texas. Joy worked at both Texas Children’s Hospital and MD Anderson Cancer Center. Joy was happily married to Roy Wedgeworth for 58 years.

Joy enjoyed Sailing, Reading, and listening to Music. She was also very involved with the Catholic Church.

Joy is survived by her husband, Roy Marvin Wedgeworth Jr, (89) of Katy, Texas; brother Henry Edwin Williams, Jr of Mobile, Alabama; Sons: Joseph Richard Wedgeworth, (56) of Katy, Texas and Robert Alan Lee (64) of Katy, Texas , and 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Funeral Mass will be Friday, October 16, 2020 at 10:00 am at Cathedral of Our Lady of Walsingham, 7809 Shadyvilla Lane, Houston, Texas 77055 with the graveside following at 2:00 pm at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery.
