Gigi focused her time and energy on her family and her home. She returned to work at the age of 42 after being widowed with four children, the youngest only 6 months old. She became principal at Town and Country Preschool and Kindergarten. Her no-nonsense approach to life exemplified strength and resilience, navigating life’s challenges with grace and determination. A lifelong Catholic, Gigi took great comfort in her faith and held her family close to her heart.
Gigi was the strong matriarch of the family, known for her sharp intellect and quick wit, often delivering her thoughts with a dry sense of humor that brought joy and laughter to those around her. Her blunt honesty endeared her to many, making her a beloved figure in her family.
An incredible cook, Gigi had a passion for preparing delicious family holiday meals and her cajun recipes were loved by all. For Gigi, a perfect day was seeing her family, gardening, and watching her beloved Houston Astros.
Gigi’s spirit will live on through her family, who will honor her memory by carrying forward her love, humor, and culinary traditions. Rest in peace, Gigi. You will be greatly missed, but your love and legacy will remain in our hearts forever.
Our love and deep gratitude for Gigi’s incredible caregivers, Annmarie and Angie, who cared for Gigi in the most compassionate, professional and loving way until her last moment. They will always remain in our hearts.
A private service will be held at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery.
