Joyce Cordelia Wilson

Joyce C. Wilson of Spring, Texas was called home by the Father on Friday, January 1, 2021. Joyce was born in Ebensburg, PA in 1941 to the parents of Ellen and James D. Brothers. She was raised with three sisters and two brothers; Ricky, Bonnie, Barbara, Robert and Melody. Joyce graduated from Central Cambria High School of Ebensburg, PA in 1959. Shortly thereafter, she married George W. Wilson Sr. During her life, Joyce lived in many different places to include; Wiesbaden, Germany, Panama Canal Zone, Warner Robins, GA, Montgomery, AL, Denver, Aurora and Colorado Springs, Colorado, finally settling in Spring, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Ricky, sister, Bonnie, and brother, Robert.

Joyce is survived by her husband of over sixty years, George W. Wilson Sr., son George (Jody) Wilson Jr. his wife, Diane, son Zach; daughter Cherie Wilson, Kent Albert, granddaughter Alyssa; son Marty Wilson his wife, Elizabeth and granddaughters Emily and Marley; and daughter Jamie Crouse, her husband Noah, grandchildren Anthony (A.J.) and Jacob; sisters Barbara Bush (Charles) and Melody Franks (Fred). Joyce was blessed with many nephews and nieces.

Joyce’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening, crafts, collecting antiques, interior decorating, and spoiling her dog Anna. She is deeply loved and will be truly missed.

A celebration of her life will be held on January 23, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the Brookside Funeral Home – Champions 3410 Cypress Creek Pkwy, Houston TX 77068. Livestream of service will be available.
