Juanita Genevieve Miller (McGowen), 90, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2017 at her residence in Houston; she was born January 3, 1927 in Alvarado, TX. She served the Harris County Hospital District as a supervisor until retirement in 1993. Her husband, Richard H. Miller, and her daughter, Betty Jean Pierce, preceded Juanita in death. She was a loving and devoted mother to: her daughters and their husbands, Betty Jean and Hershel Pierce, Susan and David Schodts, and Teresa and Thomas Nullmeier; grandchildren, Russell, Robert, Little David, Tyler, and Nicole; and great-grandchild, Andrew. Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Laurel Land Memorial Park, Fort Worth.
