Julieta Castelo Besa, 67, born on July 2, 1948 in Cabanatuan City, Philippines, passed away on April 25, 2016 after a lengthy battle with lymphoma. She is the fourth of six children. In the final weeks of her life, she was surrounded by her loving family and close friends. Julieta served a wonderful employer for 27 years as an accountant after coming to the United States for better opportunities. In her later years, she worked as a care giver for 8 years in the enchanted country side of Montgomery, TX, one of her most favorite places in the world. She is survived by her brothers Wally Castelo and Lito Castelo, 8 stepchildren, her sons Ivan Velasquez and Jay Velasquez, adopted daughter Laura Baldassari, and her best friend Lorie Tumangan. She is deeply loved and will be missed, may she enjoy the fullness of eternal life with our God.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 3:00 p.m. on the same day.
