June Patricia Hartgrove

June Patricia Hartgrove, 90, of Houston ,TX, passed away peacefully January 4, 2019. June was born on September 30, 1928 in Minneapolis, MN to Jack and Sylvia (Langseth) Donahue. She married Winston Hartgrove in 1944 in Mineral Wells, TX. She was a housewife, mother, and excellent “Grammer” for more than 50 years.

June had passion for her family, cooking, baking, sewing, needlepoint, quilting, crocheting, reading, and painting ceramics, especially Christmas nativities, angels, and international Santas.

June was preceded in death by her parents, her two brothers Merle and Jerome, her younger sister Gloria, her twin sister Jean, her husband Winston, and their youngest son Ken.

She is survived by 2 sons, Steve Hartgrove and his wife Saundra (Starks), and Ron Hartgrove and his wife Kathleen (Norton).

June is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Sean Hartgrove and wife Melisa, Shannon Hartgrove and husband Chris Ferro, Erin Hartgrove and wife Sarinya, Ian Hartgrove and wife Lynn, Kevin Hartgrove, and Brendan Hartgrove, Jonathon Davis and wife Kim, Stephanie Hartgrove and husband Josh Wiener, Amanda (Hartgrove) Ruchti and husband Aaron, and Allison (Hartgrove) Ferguson and husband Chris.

June’s 19 surviving great grandchildren are CJ Woods, Porsha Armour, Isabella and Jackson Hartgrove, Keara Ferro, Liam, Trinity, and Gavin Hartgrove, Bryan Turin, Audrey Hartgrove, Clara Hartgrove, Cole and Camille Davis, Malek and Isaac Wiener, Ford and Finley June Ruchti, Caroline and Tyler Ferguson.

She was adored by her grandchildren for her storytelling and creative imagination.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 10 am in the chapel at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery 12800 Westheimer Rd. Houston, TX 77077
