Katherine was preceded in death by her husbands’ Lyman Young and Steve Stewart.
Katherine served in the public works department for the City of Houston. She retired in 2002 after 20 years of service. She was a board member for her local homeowners’ association. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grand-children, traveling on cruises, and remodeling her home.
Katherine is survived by her son, Kenneth Young; daughter, Helen Young Paxton; grandchildren, Michelle Livingston, Stephanie Young; brother, JR Hale; sister, Mary Duquette, sister-in-law, Patsy (Richard) Lossie; and many nieces, nephews, and relatives.
Funeral service will take place at the Brookside Funeral Home in Houston on Thursday, February 20, 2025. The visitation/gathering will be held from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. The service will be held at 1:00 PM
