Kay- you gave me my first bikini- pink and white strip, tied on the sides with a little padding on the top. My father about had a heart attack when his 13 year old daughter came to visit from Houston with her new "duds".  I'm sorry I didnt get to say goodbye to you in person.  You have been a great influence in my life and I promise to live every day like you would- to the fullest. I love you,

Kay, your memorial services have come and gone and so have the holidays, but you will never be gone from my heart. Our friendship of over 50 years is a treasure I will always hold close.  I 
remember the surprise party you gave me for my 16th birthday, and the jazz dance you taught me, I laugh when I remember spending the night with you and smoking cigarettes in your room, thinking we were pulling something over on your dad. Interesting both of us never ended up being smokers! I remember going to school and changing to wear each others clothes and going shopping together to buy clothes alike. I remember Mr. Walker calling us the trouble twins in the 8th grade, and how we were the same size then, but my feet were huge and you always poked loving fun at the size of my feet!  I remember how tiny your feet were and how you could always find the best sales in shoes! I remember visiting you the first weekend after my divorce was final and going to the Mexican restaurant and drinking margaritas until my lips were numb, and you taking me around to all the tables introducing me as your sister.  We are and will always be sisters of the heart. I remember you came to my 60th surprise party my daughters gave me and how much fun we had together.  I hope to join you one day in that ballroom in the sky!Until then you will always live in my heart and the heart of my daughters who called you Aunt Kay.

Michael, I never met you except by phone in Kays last days.  Kay and I attended high school together in Ponca City, OK and she was a sweetheart then and from what I've heard still is.  She and I took dance lessons from our one and only instructor Jackie Troop Miller, now in Dallas, and we were also in a dance recital together.  I did get to see her at one of our reunions and she hadn't changed a bit at that time.  Thanks for being there for her.  Toni Cavanaugh, PO-HI class of '63, Ponca City, OK

Kay I think of you often and feel you close in my heart.  You will always be remembered as the beautiful, elegant lady but most of all for the special friend that brought me flowers for my birthday. So, in your memory I will always have flowers for your birthday and mine.

Kay and I worked together for many years. She was and had my "back".   I will miss her, and have missed her alot this past year. She was loyal and loved by all.  Kay fostered great friendships, and presented the face of a great lady.  Kay, you are with the angels. I am happy with your peace.
