

Beloved father, grandfather and brother, Kenneth Wayne Allred went home to spend eternity with his Lord and Savior on December 22, 2015 at his sister’s home in Hempstead, Texas.Kenneth was born on September 2, 1943, in Truman, Arkansas to Eleanora V. Allred and William Burton Allred. He lived in Harrisburg Arkansas until 1957 when his mother moved to Pasadena, Texas. He attended Pasadena High school where he graduated in May, 1961. Kenneth and Charlotte Kay White were married in October 1961 and together they had three children.He began his career with A. K. Davidson Company as an apprentice bricklayer. He won numerous 1st place awards and winner of the Texas State Bricklaying meets representing the Masonry Contractors Association, Bricklayers and Mason’s International Union, Local No. 7 by demonstrating his creative workmanship. He later joined A. K. Davidson Masonry as a partner. Kenneth was preceded in death by his mother, Eleanora Allred; brother, William Marion; grandparents, Roy and Essie Masters; Uncles Gilbert Masters, Myron Masters, Byron Masters, Roy Jr. Masters, Albert Masters and Howard Masters; Aunt Juanita Stevens.He is survived by daughters Natalie Ann Wade and husband Dewayne, Kathy Lynn Akins and husband Buba; son Kenneth Allred Jr. and wife Suzy; his favorite granddaughter Heather Wade; sister Gloria Koenning and husband Wallace; niece Diana Haag and husband Steve; nephew Wallace Koenning Jr. and wife Tammy, great niece Blaire Ostendorf; great nephews, Chris Ostendorf, Trace Koenning and Blake Koenning. He also leaves an extended family to morn his passing; friend and co-worker Gilbert Jimenez; Alma Rodriguez, Katherine, Mishelle, Kenny, Ashley, Marcela Rodriguez and Carlos, Patricia Santos, Maria Jacinco and numerous other relatives and a host of cousins and friends. Kenneth had a great sense of humor and had a kind and loving heart for everyone. He was a person who touched the lives of a countless number of persons seeing that their needs were met before his own. He will be missed by all and will hold a special place in our hearts.Visitation will be held on Monday, December 28, 2015 at Crespo Funeral Home-Broadway, 4136 Broadway St., Houston, Texas at 10:00am followed by a Celebration of Life service at 12:00 noon with Reverend Nancy Creason officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale Ave. Houston, Texas.The family has requested that in lieu of usual remembrances donations may be made to First United Methodist Church of Hempstead, 1010 9th Street, Hempstead, Texas 77445 or to the charity of their choice.
