

KENNETH WAYNE FERGUSON, SR. of Houston, TX west to be with the Lord on Friday, August 27, at the age of 82. Kenneth was born November 4, 1927, to Stump Ashby, Sr and Oda Ferguson.A lifelong resident of the Houston area, Kenneth grew up in the Park Place neighborhood of southeast Houston. After graduating from Milby High School he went on to serve three years in the United States Army. He graduated from Rice University with a degree in accounting and went to work for Petro-Tex which later became Dinka Chemical. After 39 years of service he retired as Treasurer of the company. Upon his retirement Kenneth was able to enjoy one of his favorite activities, travel. He and his loving wife of 37 years, Lola Ferguson, enjoyed many trips abroad, including three visits to the holy land. He also served as the President of the Full Gospel Business Men of Baytown for many years, was active in a local prison ministry, an original supporter of Country Camp in Columbus TX and a member of Believer's World Outreach.His family would like him to be remembered as a man full of love and joy from and for the Lord, a student of the Bible and a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Lola Ferguson, sister Alme Swaner, son Kenneth Wayne Ferguson, Je. And wife Janet, daughter, Connie Lundgren and husband Wallace, Jr. and extended family members Janet and Jimmy Burch, Mike and Cindy Adams, Rindy Saunders, Susan Orr, George and Liana Adams, as well as ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his brothers Harvey and S.A., his first wife, Betty Joyce Ferguson and grandson, Samuel Adams.Visitation will be Monday, August 30 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. At Brookside Champions Funeral Home, 3410 FM 1960 W. Houston, Tx 77068. Services will be Tuesday, August 31, at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery Houston, TX.
