Kenneth Wayne Joseph Lemelle

Kenneth Wayne Joseph Lemelle, age 67, of Houston, Texas passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024. He was born in Leonville, LA on August 30, 1956 to parents Nicholas Lee Lemelle and Enola Marie Augillard.

Kenneth graduated from Leonville High School and received several certifications from Houston Community College. He met Karen in Opelousas, LA and married on June 12, 1976. Kenneth served in the U.S. Army from 1971 to 1974, stationed at Frankfurt, West Germany. He then began a career as an engineer at St. Luke Hospital for 33 years. He had a passion for being with his family. Kenneth truly enjoyed the outdoor activities and going on adventures.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nicholas Lee Lemelle and Enola Marie Augillard; sister, Betty LeDay.

Kenneth is survived by his loving wife Karen Lemelle; children, Tenile Lemelle, Christina Lemelle, and Kenneth Lemelle Jr.; grandchildren, Damon Cobbs Jr., Nicholas Lemelle, Noah Lemelle, Torino Lemelle, Eleanor Lemelle, Shelby Lemelle, Constantine Lemelle, and Leah Lemelle; siblings, Helen Gobert and Lonnie Lemelle; along with a host of family members and friends.

Serving as pallbearers are Kenneth Lemelle Jr., Nicholas Lemelle, Lonnie Lemelle, Richard Gobert, DJ Cobbs, and Steven Kiner. Honorary pallbearer, Noah Lemelle.

A rosary for Kenneth will be held Thursday, August 15, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at St Leo the Great Catholic Church, 2131 Lauder Rd, Houston, Texas 77039. A funeral service will occur Thursday, August 15, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 2131 Lauder Rd, Houston, Texas 77039. A committal service will occur Thursday, August 15, 2024 from 12:30 PM to 12:45 PM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, Texas 77038.
