Our beloved son Kyle, 29, unexpectedly went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 18, 2022. Born on July 7,1993, and raised in Houston, Texas, Kyle was a member of Second Baptist Church. He was also a graduate of Second Baptist High School, where he played basketball and was a drummer in the marching band. At the time of his passing, Kyle was a senior at the University of Alabama, studying accounting and finance.
Kyle was incredibly bright, extremely inquisitive, and appreciated learning new things. He had a gentle spirit, a playful sense of humor, and a beautiful smile that could light up a room. He loved movies, video games, and all types of music, from Sinatra to hip-hop, and everything in between. He enjoyed cooking, running, and lifting weights at the gym, but his most recent passion was Formula One Racing. Kyle was a good friend, an awesome son, a gift and a blessing from God.
As we mourn and grieve, along with family & friends, we are reminded in Psalm 139:16, that God has a plan for each of us and that all our days were ordained for us, before one of them came to be. We may not know why it was Kyle’s time, or what God has in store for our future, but we do know WHO holds the future, and we put our hope & trust in Him. Proverbs 3:5-6 was one of Kyle’s favorite passages, and it comforts us today… “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your path straight.”
While our hearts are broken and heavy, God is near us. He faithfully comforts us and we are not without hope. We know Kyle is in Heaven with Jesus now, and one day we will be reunited. Thank You Lord for twenty-nine years and eleven days on this side of heaven with our precious son.
The last couple of years we’ve been “BAMA bound”. Today, we are “Heaven bound” and eternity focused, with our eyes on You, Lord Jesus. We love you Kyle… you will forever be our “Choo” and ” Bubba”.
Kyle is survived by— us, his loving parents Brian and Dale Voegele; his grandparents Sharon Voegele and Joseph Voegele; along with aunts, uncles, and many cousins.
Kyle, give a hug to Mémère, Pépère, Papa Joe, Auntie Dorene, Grandma Kay, Grandpa Davis, Grandma & Grandpa Voegele, and Aunt Marsha, for us… and we WILL be together once again when the Lord calls us Home.
A memorial service to celebrate Kyle’s life will be held on Friday, August 26th, 2022 at 10am at Second Baptist Church, 6400 Woodway, Houston, TX 77057, in the Sanctuary. Reception following, in the Deacons Parlor.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, you would prayerfully consider a donation to the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Houston in memory of Kyle.
