

Ladislav Janousek 84, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 02, 2012. He was born in Moldava-Oldris, Czech Republic on January 1, 1928, the son of Ladislav Janousek and Alzbeta Rudolf. He enjoyed mountain climbing and flying gliders as a young man in Europe. At a bus stop in Prague, he met his future wife, Jana Brunner. Ladi and Jana were married on December, 21, 1961. Ladi moved to Houston, TX in May of 1968 with his wife and young son to start a new life. They lived in Jersey Village, TX, for the next 30+ years. He retired from Allstate Steel in 1985 and spent the later part of his life traveling with his wife all over the world and spending time with his two grandchildren. He volunteered at the school library of Jersey Village High School and loved to go on long walks with his two Norwegian Elkhounds.
Ladi was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Jan Ornst and is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jana Brunner Janousek, his loving son, Vit Janousek and wife Denise, grandson, Austin Tyler Janousek and granddaughter, Alexis Claire Janousek of Houston, TX; sister-in-law, Ludmila Ornstova of Prague, Czech Republic and niece, Jana Maresova and husband Michael of Prague, Czech Republic.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at 10:00 am at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home and a gathering with friends and family to follow.
