Launice Colwell

On February 15, 1955 a baby girl was born to the late Laverne Colwell and the late Fell Miller.  She grew up in Cushing Texas, where she got her early schooling from Allen High School. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized under the late Rev. Zack Walker.  She later moved to Houston and joined Greater Jerusalem under the late Pastor C. D. Daniels Jr., where she remained faithfully until her death. Launice was the Mother of two beautiful children: Roshonda D. Colwell and Kendrick D. Colwell. Launice worked for the U.S. Postal service for 36 yrs. before retiring in 2010.  She later, after retirement joined the family business “Colwell’s BBQ” which was her passion.  She loved the business especially meeting people, and spending time with her family. On Friday morning July 12, 2019 at 6:12am the angel of death came and took her to her heavenly home.  She was preceded in death by her Grandparents, Parents, and one Uncle. Precious memories will be cherished by her daughter: Roshonda Colwell, son: Kendrick Colwell, 1 sister Lawanda Hall.  Aunties: Clementine Russell (Pastor Joe Russell, Houston, TX), Ella M Skinner (Eddie Skinner, Memphis, TN), Renee Gee, and Stella Colwell both of Houston Texas, Three uncles: Kenneth (Pat), James, and Lincoln (Paulette) all of Houston Texas.  A multitude of nieces and nephews, family and friends. We will always love you!!!
