Laura L. Alander

Laura L. Alander passed away on August 28th 2016 in Spring, Texas. She was born in Blue Island, Illinois in 1964 to Robert and Judy (Kelly) Campbell, she was the younger of two children. Laura was a smart and vibrant woman who graduated with her Bachelors in 1999 from Western Illinois University and again with her Masters in 2001. Humorous at her core, she brought joy to many students during her long career as an educator.

She was preceded by her mother, Judy Campbell. Laura will be remembered for her loving and giving personality. She made the best Double Chocolate Zucchini Bread and collected terracotta lizards and frogs. Laura leaves behind her daughter Kerstin Alander, her son Dalton Alander, her father Robert Campbell, her sister Peggy Contreras, along with many other friends and family.

A memorial service is being held Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 3:00 pm at Brookside Funeral Home – Champions, 3410 FM 1960 West, Houston, Texas 77068.

We encourage all to attend, particularly any of her students.

Memorial contributions may be made to Give Kids the World (GKTW), a nonprofit resort in Central Florida that provides weeklong, cost-free vacations to children with life-threatening illnesses and their families.
