After serving in the Air Force, Lawrence met his wife, Pattie. They settled in Houston and soon started a family. Lawrence worked in the warehousing and shipping industry for most of his career. Due to his vocation, he was very well-versed in the street infrastructure of Houston. This was a very handy family resource to have in a pre-internet world. He was passionate about collecting antique glassware and related memorabilia. He was well known on the Southeast Houston garage sale circuit… He also enjoyed Sunday afternoon drives with his family.
Lawrence is preceded in death by his wife, Pattie, and his parents.
He is survived by his siblings, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and numerous other relatives.
A visitation for Lawrence will be held Thursday, February 2, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.AmericanHeritageFuneralHome.com for the Scholwinski family.
