

Lee (Leo) O'Daniel Bryant was born to Daniel Bryant and Ethel Jewel Johnson (both deceased) on July 11, 1941. Leo grew up in Houston and San Antonio, Texas. He was a smart kid who dislike school, but for the love sports.
In March of 1962 Leo enlisted in the US Army, and proudly served our country for three years. Leo had two sons with his first wife, Lee Falke Bryant (Houston, TX) and James Sean Bryant (Austin, TX).
Leo retired from the United States Postal Service on November 1, 2009 after 34 years of service. Throughout his tenure there, he received several awards of service and many attendance merits. Leo retired with over 1,700 hours of accumulated sick time equating to over seven months.
Those who knew him well knew that he was an avid runner. Leo loved music, spirits, watching sports and most importantly; Helon V. Bryant, the love of his life. Leo and Helon were married for 35 years until her untimely death in August of 2017. Leo would often say, "I'll never be the same without Helon".
In 2021 Leo moved to Corinth, TX for health reasons and to be closer to family.
He struggled with the idea of leaving the home and life he and his wife had built together. While in Corinth he lived a life of leisure at an assisted living community and enjoyed watching Western movies to his heart's content.
Left to mourn Leo's passing are his two sons, his two step-children Debbie Jackson and Jerrod Huff, step-grandchildren Nicholette Shaw, Nicholas, Alyssa & Alaina Huff. Brothers Leo P. Bryant (Rosiland), Ronald Bryant (Bertha), Sisters Sharon Campbell (Keith), and Lillie Bryant, and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.
Also preceding him in death are two sisters Dorris Wiley & Dorothy Bryant.
A committal service for Lee will be held Monday, June 2, 2025 from 11:15 AM to 11:45 AM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038.
