Lee Gardner Roach, age 79, passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2010. Lee was an excellent cook, bridge player and housekeeper. She was born in Avoca, Texas on July 13, 1931. In 1951, she met the love of her life, James Warner. After three months of courtship, they decided to wed. They spent their early life living in Ft. Stockton, El Paso, Midland, Houston and Oklahoma City. They returned to Houston in 1963. Her husband, James, predeceased her earlier this year. Lee leaves behind her daughter, Lisa J. Rogers, her son, James W. Roach, III and wife, Trina, and her three grandchildren, Nicole L. Rogers, Brittany L. Rogers and Travis Andrew Roach. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, October 15 at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, 12800 Westheimer Rd., Houston, TX 77077. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 16, 2010 in the Chapel of Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home. A graveside service and committal will immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, donations made by made to M.D. Anderson Hospital or the Parkinson’s Foundation.
