Lena Nell Cude went to be with her Lord on October 29, 2016. She was born on April 18, 1921 to parents Pete and Mary Highnote in Corsicana, Texas. Lena was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend that will be dearly missed by all of those who knew and loved her. She is survived by children: Archie T.B. Cude Jr. and his wife Virginia and Eunice Fay Barnard; grandchildren: Gary Cude, David Cude, Regnia Elliott, Kimberly Chandler, Carl Barnard and his wife Tammy and Grace Holder and her husband Roger; several great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Lena is preceded in death by her husband George W. Cude; daughters: Belva Owens and Melvinie Eveline Cude; grandson Aaron Cude and parents.
The family will receive friends for visitation Monday, October 31, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Brookside Funeral Home in the Family Chapel followed by a burial at Brookside Memorial Park & Cemetery.
