

Lillian Lee Nobles was born on December 17, 1953 to a loving couple Robert Lee and Lillie Mae Nobles. Lillian was loved and cherished being the eldest of seven children. Lillian Lee was raised in the Fifth Ward community. She attended Phillis Wheatley High School and completed the nursing program at Methodist Hospital in the 1970’s to become a Licensed Vocational Nurse. She later returned to school pursuing a Registered Nurse at North Harris County College. Lillian accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at an early age. She attended Bible Study, Vacation Bible School and served as an usher at First New Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor William C. Jones. As a child Lillian along with her siblings assisted their father on Saturday with manicuring the church grounds for Sunday Service. In 1997, Lillian married Oliver Hunt and to that union four children were born. In the 1980’s, Lillian Lee began working at Yale Hospital in North Houston. She served as a LVN for over 39 years at Yale Hospital, Doctor’s Hospital, Ben Taub Hospital and Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital. Lillian Lee retired from Yale/Doctor’s Hospital in 2003. Once she retired, she continued serving the Houston community at Ben Taub Hospital. After completing several years of service at Ben Taub she returned to Doctor’s Hospital and retired from nursing after she began experiencing health problems. Lillian Lee is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Oliver Hunt; sister, Wanda Faye; brother, Robert Lee Jr., one daughter NeDeba Desiree, and one granddaughter Jade. She is survived by one daughter Zaneta Michelle; two sons Oliver Sterling and Aubrey Deon (Kisha) and seven grandchildren Tatyana, Xavier, Brianna, Cameron, Aubrey, Jr., Deja, and Trinity; three sisters Gerterine, Pearlie and Lillie and one brother Timothy Lee; four nephews Robert Sean, Marcus, Isaac and Trenton; one niece Dameca and a host of great-nieces and great-nephews, an aunt and numerous cousins.
